Lasting Power of Attorney
A Lasting Power of Attorney (“LPA”) is a document which appoints one or more people to make decisions or sign documents on your behalf. If you have an illness or accident which affects your ability to make decisions or sign documents your attorney can make decisions or sign documents on your behalf. There are two LPAs – one covers property and financial matters and the other deals with health and welfare decisions.
You do not need a solicitor to prepare the documents for you and the forms are available directly from the Office of the Public Guardian. However, if you would like to instruct Hennings Solicitors to advise you and prepare the documents and register on your behalf, please contact us for a quote.
